Young Adults: A Community of Missionary Disciples

1 Corinthians 9:16: “If I preach the gospel, this gives me no ground for boasting, for necessity has been laid upon me. Woe to me if I do not preach the Gospel.”

St. Thomas Aquinas has partnered with i.d. (http://www.intentionaldisciples.com/) to provide content and inspiration in our journey to form young adults as intentional disciples of Jesus Christ.

The young adult community strives to promote the parish’s mission to become missionary disciples through personal spiritual growth, fellowship and service, and life-changing encounters with Jesus.

How to Get Involved

On the first Thursday of every month, St. Thomas Aquinas hosts a Disciples’ Night put on by i.d. The evening starts with Mass, followed by dinner and a speaker (via livestream) in conjunction with other i.d. chapters nationwide.

To RSVP for the next event, please go to the event on the YA Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/STAMadisonYA/ or email the young adult team at id916madison@gmail.com. RSVPs are not required but help for food planning.

All young adults in their 20’s or 30’s, either married or single, and both parishioners and non-parishioners, are welcome.

Other Ways to Get Connected

Many young adults are involved in planning and carrying out initiatives for the community. The Facebook page is kept up-to-date with events and opportunities. Follow the page to see what’s coming.

There is a GroupMe texting group set up for last minute events, prayer requests, and inspiration. To be added, email id916madison@gmail.com with your name and phone number.
