Our Mission
We are all on a journey of faith, challenged to grow in our love of Jesus Christ, His Church, and His people. But to
know things about Jesus is something very different from knowing Jesus. And so this journey begins with evangelization.
Our first goal with children, teens and adults is to provide opportunities where we can encounter Jesus; then,
because of that relationship, be motivated to learn more about our Catholic faith.
Pre-School/Kindergarten and Elementary Registration for this year’s Faith Formation is CLOSED.

Hi! I’m Maira. I’m a retired
elementary school teacher and a
returned Catholic thanks to the prayers of the Holy Church. I was born, baptized and raised Catholic in Puerto Rico. My only and older brother and Mom live on the island. I have been living in the USA for more than 25 years, most of which I lived in Madison. I was heavily secularized for most of these years, but I thankfully
returned to the Catholic faith by the grace of God in 2014. I live in Madison, a few minutes away from STA with my husband Keith Dalby, our foxhound Ziva and orange tabby Nino. I enjoy walking my dog, growing cherry tomatoes, watching wildlife whether outside or from my porch, and Coldplay live concerts among other things. I LOVE every part and detail of the holy Mass, whether it is the weekly or the Sunday Mass. I recharge by visiting the Blessed Sacrament, especially during holy hour adoration. I take refuge in Our Lady of Immaculate Conception and the Surrender Novena by Fr Dolindo Ruotolo. My go-to-saints are Saint
Joseph, Saint Teresa of Avila, Saint Therese de Lisieux, Saint Dymphna, Saint Philomena, Saint
Ignacio de Loyola, Saint Martin de Porres, and Saint Thomas Aquinas. I’m excited to be at Saint Thomas Aquinas in the Faith Formation Team and Hispanic Ministry. I look forward to the projects the Lord has for me in this new plan he put in front of me, and I beg of you to pray that I may be solely guided by His
divine wisdom and mercy. I’ll do the same for you. May we grow closer to Him in the struggles and the joys to come in this earthly pilgrimage to His presence, as we enter this new chapter of Into-the-Deep.

¡Hola! Soy Maira. Soy una maestra de escuela primaria jubilada y una católica retornada a su Iglesia gracias a las oraciones de la mismita Santa Iglesia. Nací, me bauticé y crecí en la fe Católica en Puerto Rico. Mi único hermano y mamá viven en la isla. Hace más de 25 años que vivo en los Estados Unidos, la mayoría de los cuales viví en Madison. Estuve muy secularizada durante la mayor parte de estos años, pero afortunadamente regresé a la fe Católica por la gracia de Dios en 2014. Vivo en Madison, a unos minutos de STA con mi esposo Keith Dalby, nuestro perro sabueso Ziva y el atigrado color naranja Nino. Disfruto pasear a mi perro, cultivar tomates, observar la vida silvestre ya sea afuera o desde mi balcón y de los conciertos en vivo de Coldplay, entre otras cosas. AMO cada parte y detalle de la Santa Misa, ya sea la Misa semanal o la Misa dominical. Me recargo al visitar el Santísimo Sacramento, especialmente durante la Adoración de la Hora Santa. Me refugio en Nuestra Señora de la Inmaculada Concepción y la Novena de la Entrega del P. Dolindo Ruotolo. A los santos que más acudo son San José, Santa Teresa de Ávila, Santa Teresa de Lisieux, Santa Dymphna, Santa Filomena, San Ignacio de Loyola, San Martín de Porres y Santo Tomás de Aquino. Estoy emocionada de estar en Santo Tomás de Aquino en el Equipo de Formación de Fe y el Ministerio Hispano. Espero con ansias los proyectos que el Señor tiene para mí en este nuevo plan que me ha puesto por delante, y les ruego a ustedes hermanos, que oren para que pueda ser guiada únicamente por Su divina sabiduría y misericordia. Haré lo mismo por ustedes. Permita Dios Padre nuestro que nos acerquemos cada día más a Él en las luchas y en las alegrías del hoy y del por venir en esta peregrinación terrenal a Su presencia, y más aún al entrar en este nuevo capítulo Hacia-lo-profundo.
