St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish . Madison, Wisconsin
We, the faith community of Saint Thomas Aquinas, united with the Church throughout the world, are called by God to bring the Good News of the Gospel into the life of our community.
We strive to serve each other in a spirit of compassion and love, and to enhance justice, peace and healing in our midst.
We strive also, through our common prayer and worship with the Lord who nourishes us, to enable the gifts of the Spirit to emerge from each one of us and become more fully the disciples of Christ.

Special Needs

“There is no human life more sacred than another, just as there is no human life qualitatively more significant than another.”

-Pope Francis

All the baptized, no matter what their gifts and abilities, have the right to receive appropriate faith formation that enables them, to the best of their abilities, to grow in the love of Jesus Christ and the People of God. This is especially true for people with special needs – people with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, or other such personal circumstances.

In order to help nurture the faith of children and adults with special needs, St. Thomas Aquinas will work with you to develop personalized plans. Materials and activities provide opportunities for learning about the faith and celebrating the sacraments within a welcoming community. If you would like to talk about faith formation or sacramental preparation for a person with special needs, please contact our parish education office.
