St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish . Madison, Wisconsin
We, the faith community of Saint Thomas Aquinas, united with the Church throughout the world, are called by God to bring the Good News of the Gospel into the life of our community.
We strive to serve each other in a spirit of compassion and love, and to enhance justice, peace and healing in our midst.
We strive also, through our common prayer and worship with the Lord who nourishes us, to enable the gifts of the Spirit to emerge from each one of us and become more fully the disciples of Christ.

Food Pantry Support

The goal of our parish’s Food Pantry Support program is to help stock the food pantries either at the Lussier Community Education Center or at St. Vincent de Paul. You are encouraged to bring nonperishable food and personal hygiene items and place them in the brown wooden bins in the gathering area. Alternating each month, on the third Sunday, these food items are either delivered by parishioners to the Lussier Community Education Center or picked up by St. Vincent de Paul for their food pantry.

Christmas Food Baskets

Filling Christmas Food Baskets

A second way that the parish provides food support for our neighbors is through our annual Christmas Food Baskets. The goal of this program is to provide residents of Wexford Village apartments and others in our parish neighborhood a basket of grocery staples to help them celebrate Christmas. On a Friday evening, over 100 parishioners of all ages work to sort the food items in categories, pack them into baskets, and  then on Saturday morning, more volunteers deliver the food to the families in need.
