St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish . Madison, Wisconsin
We, the faith community of Saint Thomas Aquinas, united with the Church throughout the world, are called by God to bring the Good News of the Gospel into the life of our community.
We strive to serve each other in a spirit of compassion and love, and to enhance justice, peace and healing in our midst.
We strive also, through our common prayer and worship with the Lord who nourishes us, to enable the gifts of the Spirit to emerge from each one of us and become more fully the disciples of Christ.

Care Facilities

St. Thomas Aquinas Parish serves the sacramental and pastoral care needs of residents in the rehab units, assisted living and skilled nursing care centers at Oakwood Village University Woods, Brookdale – Wynwood, and Coventry Village – Sebring.   This ministry allows those living in area nursing homes and assisted living centers the opportunity to share in the Blessed Sacrament and helps maintain a resident’s connection to Catholic parish life.  Volunteers assist in the transport of residents to chapels for Mass, lead the Rosary and prayer and often lead Word and Communion services when a priest cannot be present to preside at Mass.  As this is a ministry with a vulnerable population, the Diocese of Madison policy requires that: the minister receive and review the Code of Pastoral Conduct for Priests, Deacons, Pastoral Ministers, Administrators, Staff and Volunteers; agree to a criminal background check; and participate in a Virtus Awareness training session.
