St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish . Madison, Wisconsin
We, the faith community of Saint Thomas Aquinas, united with the Church throughout the world, are called by God to bring the Good News of the Gospel into the life of our community.
We strive to serve each other in a spirit of compassion and love, and to enhance justice, peace and healing in our midst.
We strive also, through our common prayer and worship with the Lord who nourishes us, to enable the gifts of the Spirit to emerge from each one of us and become more fully the disciples of Christ.

Home Communion

Those who are unable to attend Mass because of a long-term or short-term illness or infirmity are encouraged to notify the parish to arrange for a Home Communion visit. We will gladly match parish visitors with homebound parish members to visit, pray with and share the Blessed Sacrament.

Visitors are encouraged to pray for the homebound on a regular basis and asked to maintain contact them by telephone, email or mail as well. Scheduling is flexible and arranged at the convenience of the visitor and homebound. The Blessed Sacrament is transported from the parish by the minister and shared using the Church’s Rite of Communion in a Hospital or Institution. Ongoing parish training is provided. As this is a ministry with a vulnerable population, the Diocese of Madison policy requires that: the minister receive and review the Code of Pastoral Conduct for Priests, Deacons, Pastoral Ministers, Administrators, Staff and Volunteers; agree to a criminal background check; and participate in a Virtus Awareness training session.
